Jaime La Farr Jenkins, Ph.D.
Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor and Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Dr. Jaime La Farr Jenkins is a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Florida Counseling Center. She received her doctorate in Mental Health Counseling from the Department of Counselor Education at the University of Florida, with a specialization in counseling student-athletes. Dr. Jenkins provides career, individual, group, and couples counseling, and her clinical and research interests include identity and relationship development, depression, stress and anxiety, substance related issues and eating disorders. Her publications include a qualitative study exploring first year female swimmer's transition to college and she conducted research with female student athletes on the topics of stress, coping, relational health and athlete satisfaction. Dr. La Farr Jenkins has considerable experience in campus outreach programming related to multicultural education, academic success, stress and anxiety management, sexual assault, and she is active on several campus committees.
