Shari Robinson, Ph.D.
Clinical Assistant Professor and Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Shari Robinson is a Clinical Assistant Professor, Program Coordinator for ASPIRE at the University of Florida’s Counseling Center. She received her doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from West Virginia University, Master’s of Science in Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and her Bachelors in Social Work from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. Shari’s areas of professional interests include counseling issues related to diversity and multiculturalism, African-Americans, First Generation college students, and mentoring people of color. She has a strong interest and passion in outreach/consultation, spiritual issues and minority affairs. She provides individual and group counseling to students with a variety of clinical and interpersonal concerns and issues. She co-leads the Invincible Black Woman’s and the First Generation Empowerment groups. Shari is currently working on several research projects related to academic success and African-American fraternities and sororities; the unique concerns and strengths of first generation college students. Shari is actively involved in mentoring students of color, outreach and consultation projects and the faculty advisor for an African-American service organization.
